History
Aquasign®, our unique oil-exuding silicone based anti-fouling markers, were invented by Shell Chemicals Limited with the first version sold by Blacksmith Chemicals Services, its joint venture subsidiary, in 1985.
In 1996 Champion Technologies Inc, purchased the Aquasign® patents and associated intellectual property from Shell and created a subsidiary, AQUASIGN Limited (previously known as Champion Environmental Technologies), to focus on the design and manufacture of subsea equipment marking systems.
Product Developments
AQUASIGN has continued to invest heavily in research, development and our in-house manufacturing facility, extending our product range to all types of asset marking solutions including surface, seabed and retrofit signage requirements.
Our capabilities now include injection moulding, CNC milling, waterjet cutting, rotary engrave, chemical etch and screen printing, used to produce a wide variety of offshore signage such as subsea identification labels, Aquaplates, certification nameplates, safety signs and plastic labels.
Aquasign®, KISS®, Solis®, Biohesive® 225, AquahesiveTM 5836, ShieldTM and SeamarkTM are trademarks for proprietary products that are unique, exclusively manufactured and supplied by AQUASIGN.
