Flexible
The standard bolted specification of Aquasign® underwater labels incorporates our KISS® self-adhesive fixing. The oil exuding silicone labels are supplied with a fabric self-adhesive backing, complete with customised bolt holes and nylon washers to protect the surface of the marker.
By opting for an adhesive fixing solution, the flexibility of our silicone markers are maintained, making them suitable for all applications including tubulars. The installation is also improved with a simplified PEEL, STICK, SEAL & BOLT process.
Our standard lead time for KISS® adhesive labels is as little as 2 working days!
Rigid
Alternatively, if our KISS® system is not suitable our identification markers can be supplied pre-bonded to a range of substrates, including our Nylon, Stainless Steel or ABS. All rigid backing plates are manufactured in-house to our client’s specific requirements, including shape and size.
Our standard lead time for rigid backed markers is 20 working days, however AQUASIGN will always work to meet your project demands.
Sealing Bead
For all bolted specifications, Biohesive® 225 should be applied around the edge of the backing plate or marker edges to create a water-tight seal. The sealing bead is a critical step forming an integral part of our fixing guarantee, as it prevents issues that can be caused by vibration from underwater currants or jet washing in the vicinity.
