AQUASIGN have a range of adhesive fixing solutions available, ensuring our anti-fouling subsea markers are suitable for all requirements.
Our standard adhesive specification is KISS®, however the most suitable adhesive for your project will depend on the substrate and application – please click here to view our Adhesive Substrate Guide.
Biohesive® 225
Biohesive® 225 is a silicone RTV subsea adhesive, supplied in 310ml cartridges and applied using a manual or air-fed application gun. There is no mixing requirement and the cartridges are re-sealable, which significantly reduces waste.
Unlike our KISS® solution where Biohesive® 225 is only used as a sealing bead, with this fixing specification the adhesive needs to also be applied to the back of the underwater marker. The Aquasign® label will be supplied without a fabric or self-adhesive backing, so that Biohesive® 255 can applied directly onto the bare silicone.
A vinyl cover will be supplied on the back of the marker to keep the silicone clean, however must be removed before applying the adhesive.
AquahesiveTM 5836
Aquahesive™ 5836 is a two component, high-performance polyurethane adhesive.
Supplied with the curative in a ready to mix form, Aquahesive™ has a long pot life making it ideal for bonding large or multiple components in a short time. Its rigid nature makes it appropriate for applications where a flexible adhesive might not be suitable.
If this adhesive is specified as a fixing solution, the subsea label will be supplied with a fabric backing. Correct mixing, preparation and storage of Aquahesive™ 5836 are critical in ensuring the best possible performance.
